[Stellantis, a French-Italian joint venture automaker, has announced that it has entered into a multibillion euro framework agreement with rental and fleet management company Ayvens. The deal is set to see the sale of up to 500,000 vehicles in Europe over the next three years.
According to the agreement, Ayvens' subsidiaries will purchase these vehicles for their long-term rental fleets across Europe, with initial deliveries expected to begin in the first half of 2024.
Stellantis stated that the specific details of the transaction, including order volume, composition, and delivery dates, exceed those already planned for 2024, allowing both companies to negotiate flexibly based on fleet requirements and demand.
The announcement clarified that customers of Ayvens will have access to brands such as Alfa Romeo, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Opel, Peugeot, and Vauxhall. It further added that future brand offerings could expand to cover Stellaris' entire product portfolio.
Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares commented that the agreement "will help Ayven's customer base gradually transition to more sustainable mobility options."
Ayvens was created when ALD Automotive, a subsidiary of Societe Generale, acquired fleet management and mobility company LeasePlan last year.
